WiFi Alphabet Soup

After the dot-com boom of 2000 it appears to be the dot-11 boom of 2006.
IEEE has come up with an alphabet soup for the wireless standards in the unlicensed band.

So what is Super-G? I just bought a super-g router in the thanksgiving sale for $20.00 that says 108 mbps, but doesn't seem to be part of the official 802 standards.
